Two Travelers
Two Travelers
I found some old pictures I took while building the collage that became an artist’s book. The basis of the collage were two cards from the Taxonomy Project. My collaging process is mostly instinctual, but in this case I was trying to tell a story as well.
A small map fold book. The interior was inspired by a Japanese map.
The Young Scientist Investigates
I finally finished this collage project I started years ago! The Young Scientist Investigates is a slightly surreal set of pamphlets, alluding to instructional guides for girls and boys.

Space collages installed in the Book Arts & Printmaking Works in Progress Show (Cat’s Out of the Bag!), Spring, 2010.
These untitled space collages were part of a series of projects that explored the tension between the mechanics of space travel and daily domestic tasks and rituals.
The Outer Space Projects connect daily rituals and objects with various aspects of space travel. The greater narrative remains elusive.
A series of collages I made for the Taxonomy project.
Another collage, this in the form of a faux-instructional pamphlet or brochure, The Young Scientist Investigates. I have a second half-finished Young Scientist pamphlet that I need to complete one of these days.

Two collages from a class assignment. I later developed them into an artist’s book (also an assignment), but I only ended up making one copy. It was expensive to print an edition, and I didn’t think the end product justified the expense.
